ShadowHime

Some may not know that I’ve been messing around with MikuMikuDance. It’s a program used to manipulate bone structures of the various Vocaloid and Utauloid models available, among other random things people do.

So, to start off, let’s post the stuff that I have been working on. (Note: the last two images are actually a series of pictures for a small little project I’m working on.)

I made this one out of boredom and made a simple pose for Rin Kagamine. It’s just her in a singing pose, as if singing a song.

This is the first out of several series of pictures I’ll be posting as I progress. I made this from an idea I got about doing a group pose for all of the vocaloids, Miku being the star. It’s still got a long way to go as I get everything just the way I want, but it’ll get there soon enough.

While the second image is this one. Rin and Len still show, now being joined by Haku and Luka. And like others, I’ll probably clean them up a little, fix a few things, and all that good stuff.

Miku Zatsune, or.. I dub Dark Miku. This was the most difficult to do due the the way I had to position the legs and the hands. But, I think in the end, I did a pretty good job.

Welp, that’s pretty much a start. Noratetsu and I will be posting various things as time goes on for our little projects, mainly for fun. I’ll eventually start posting actual animation stuff once I get around to it.

Yep, this is final. The server is down, I turned off the processes, and there is no turning back now.

I have put in a final request to cancel the payments and the server is now offline. Don’t try and change my mind, I’m not this time. After I’ve been contacted for a possible use, I never got a reply back and now I feel somewhat stupid for doing that. (waiting about a week or two didn’t really seem to help the matter)

With that, the ShadowHime IRC is now gone, but not dead. I kept the configurations if I want to revive it in a different form at some point in the future. But for now, there’s more important things to do than keep an IRC running when no one is going to use it.

The blog will remain here, but I doubt I’ll put out any updates or anything for quite a while. I still have my CG stuff on this domain anyway that I manage, so one way or another, this place is staying unless I do something different for it.

Yep, with the module testing going very well and with little problems, we’re going to be upgrading the IRCd we use.

Now, the IRC will probably be offline for a few hours from the point I posted this. Or, it could be done for a day or two, but I doubt that. =^.~=

From this post, the IRC is officially not available and will be back up soon enough. I’ll edit and comment when the changes are done, because I have to recompile the services as well to a newer version in the SVN (stable branch, so ya know, so no tricky bugs or anything like that), but I will make sure that nothing gets lost. I have made a backup of the stuff on my computer before I begin doing all the changes.

Ok, upgrade is complete. There are also some new modes for everyone to use as they please. They are under the Tutorials page for Channel Modes. I will probably have to re-write it a little due to the fact that the upgrade might have changed a few things from the previous version.

Seems as one of the developers for the services we use is going to be coding a module for the version that we use to support an upgraded version of the IRCd we use.

Though, the IRCd is at 1.2 RC3, the reviews for it have been relatively good and stable to consider upgrading and using it on a production environment. So, I’m actually considering on upgrading soon to see how beta testing the module goes. If all goes well, then I’ll get the stuff upgraded and be done with it.

Don’t worry, no information will be lost. All of the service stuff has their own database, and the IRCd upgrade will actually help us IRC Operators with some of the new features provided by the upgrade. There will hardly be a change in how the lot of you would talk in the IRC, as a lot of this stuff is behind-the-scenes and all that.

Yep, effective now, the server is pretty much closed. Whether or not we’ll come back as an IRC network, who knows… No one is really coming here, did as much advertising as I could, but nothing actually helped. So, I’ve canceled future payments and all that.

Mk, I lied for now. The very night I posted this, apparently someone I knew from some time ago came on looking for an IRC. Grant it, I closed off the server to anime-fans only, but right now, I’m waiting to see how things go for a couple weeks before I make a true cancel on the payment.

I’ll make yet one more post to see whether or not ShadowHime is actually going to stay. So, its all up in the air right now.

Nothing to do with the site, as this is on a separate server. However, the IRC server itself will be down for a while. Actually, it’s been down before I got a chance to finally notice until now.

I’m gonna find out what’s going on, because at the moment, we just lost pretty much everything. First it started out with IdleRPG, but I wasn’t worried about that because no one was using it. Now, it’s the services that got overwritten with blanks. Meaning, our channels are gone, nicknames are no longer registered, among other things that we’ve done. Basically, we lost everything.

Hopefully I’ll be able to find out what’s going on and bring all this back up. I really hope I don’t have to reconfig all this again, but if I have to, I will. Even if it was a tedious task then, everything tends to be anyway when tending to the servers. But for the time being, server is down right now, and I’m not sure how long. Anyone who wants to know more possibly, can drop a message on the forum after registering and getting your account activated by myself. (shouldn’t take long really)
