Updated Info on Server
I’ve got some good news at least. First, I’ll start off by saying that the HDD is indeed failing. I was informed that it had about 4% health remaining. Here is the actual good news.
When I had the drive swapped out, this also updated the OS and we’re starting fresh on that. The data is still intact on the old drive, and copying data as we speak. (metaphorically speaking) Configuration files and such appear to be in good condition and are not lost, so we’ll be able to get it back up and running soon enough.
So, where does that leave us with the IRC server and Mashiro? Pretty simple. First, we’ll get all the necessary software required to compile and get everything running again, as well as getting ports forwarded for Mashiro to start sending files out again. That is our priority currently. Once Mashiro is function properly, then I’ll work on the IRC server, update it to the latest release, bring down the LoliFox one temporarily to update its backend as well.
It’ll be a time consuming process, but things are getting done. Luckily, it appears the most important data are still there and in good health, it’ll just take a few hours to copy, and then the bot itself will go through its own hash check for another few hours, and then it should be back online.
Stay tuned for further updates.
