Looks like I'm going to be changing registration criteria soon. This forum has been hit by spammers pretty hard, which may be how I got a suspended notice because they're almost DoS'ing the server itself. Which is not good. I'm taking some initiatives and banning a few common things I'm seeing.
Now here's the deal. I'm about to ban ALL disposable email domains. Why? Too easy to get through with them. GMail is the first on my list to go. Yahoo may come in later, followed by Hotmail, then any others I find over the internet. I'm trying to find similarities right now to try and prevent me from doing that, but its not easy without banning the domain itself. Russian-based IP's are banned, emails too, hostnames, etc.. That's where some of it is coming from. I'm seeing more from Poland as well, but most are elsewhere or not resolving to a location.
CAPTCHA has been set to extreme as well. If this proves too difficult for some people, there is a listen to option on the registration page. Otherwise, y'all are welcome to contact me. But please, use something other than a disposable email, otherwise I will junk them. I don't really have the time to sift through everything at the moment.
